SUNDAY G1– 68miles/110km – Beals Barn 9am start

  Fab weather this Sunday – highs of up 22ºc – so break out the summer gear and shed the winter equipment! Sam will be leading a ride of approximately 68 miles at G1 pace around 17mph+ (27.5 kmh) down to Beals Barn Gardens for “a cup O’tea an a slice O’ cake” – overlooking Bewl Water. G1 Ride to Tulley’s Farm

Marek to lead G1 to Tulley’s Farm – G2 will follow the same route. G1 pace ~17-19mph 27-30kmh Route to be posted but it’s around 60 miles and pretty flat. Please register to let us know you’re attending.

G1 Basted Ride

Richard Bingham leading. 60 miler out to East Peckham and Basted, back via Exedown and Knatts Valley. This will be the same route as G2, except tackled in the opposite direction with a cafe stop at Offham. Route: Please click to register attendance.

G1 Llamas + Steve

60 mile round trip out to see the hard-to-spot llamas at the llama park in the Ashdown Forest. Steve Rodgers to lead G1 – 9am start at The G. If anyone is feeling good by the time we get to Hartfield we might have a go at The Wall! Please click to ensure I get out of bed.

G1 Trevereux Hill

4 Elms Lumps n Lanes – lovely hilly route with hidden lanes – the icing on the cake is Trevereux Hill. Refreshment stop in 4 Elms. Route info: 60 miles with lots of hills to break up the G1 pace- plenty chance to test your hill climbing. Steve Rodgers currently lined up to lead.

G1 Beals Barn BEWL – 70 miles

 Graham will be leading G1 to Beals Barn – approx 70 miles. As highlighted in our most recent Newsletter it is essential that you “please mark your attendance” as club numbers are on the up which may necessitate for us to arrange additional ride leaders. 63 mile ride this Sunday via the lovely romantic cafe at Chiddingstone. G1 or G2? Both going the same route – please take your pick and let us know in advance. Also let us know if you would like to head of earlier than usual – there is interest in departing at 8:30 rather than 9:00

G1 to Llama Park 95km 1,300m

Meet at 9am for a 9.15 start. Over the summer due to holiday commitments we will be loading up rides with a suggested route to download. Feel free to reorganize and lead rides based on attendance but download this ride in the first instance and if you wish to lead please make sure you come prepared with an alternative route on your GPS.    

G2 G1 Sunday 24th June

No rides up for Sunday for G1 nor G2 this week – Graham and Chris are off to the Pyrenees avoiding the massive holes in the road caused by flooding and landslides! G1 100km Green Fingers Cafe

Graham leading a ride following the Old Port RT route extended to take in a fuel stop at The Green Fingers Cafe (within Ashdown Garden Centre). For G1 you will be expected to help on the front – if the pace is too high there is the option to drop back to G2 who will be following the same route. Pace around 17.5mph depending on lumps. This Sunday Dave Barker and Matt Whale will be leading a ride to Tulley’s farm – leaving 9am sharp from the Green. G1 pace usually around 18mph and everyone will be expected to share the work on the front. Note G2 will be riding to Lenham so no broom wagon option this weekend! Route here:

Sunday G1 Staplehurst Loop 70m

Cyclopark Training Session

Training session at Cyclopark, has been booked for Saturday 27th October 2018 14:30-16:30. The aim of the session is to introduce and improve cycling skill required for club group rides and time trials. Great session for riders just beginning and/or wanting to improve – practise existing skills. The session will be lead by certified British cycling coaches Lee Staples and Richard Liston.
