G1/2 :50 miles on gritted roads with no cafe stop

About the event:

Created by Richard Bingham

Should be a beautiful morning for a club ride but very nippy. Will be on gritted roads exact route and pace to be agreed on the day.  Please let us know if you intend to be out as hoping for a quick getaway.

Richard

P.s If you’re worried about being out in the cold for three hours, check out this guy’s commute from Groombridge to Central London on Thursday morning via Rye!!   https://www.strava.com/activities/837046489

Don’t laugh Richard but when you see my swollen feet it’s due to my layers – thin and thick socks then goretex winter boots then 3mm neoprene outers . . . then goretex outer shells over this – so five layers lol !

For hands thin merino glove liners then wind proof gloves then wind proof lobster claws over that!

Don’t forget 2 pairs of socks for this one Graham! Ian – it’ll probably be pretty much the usual anti-clockwise loop around Sevenoaks (Sundridge, Ide, Leigh, Hilden, Plaxtol, Ightham, Ash, Longfield etc) and back down the Shoreham valley
