Dear Avanti member

If you've been looking at the website recently you might've noticed some changes. Aside from lots of new photos, Johnny Edwards has been busy compiling Time Trial results from the past 2 seasons, as well as a system for tracking the events and results for this season.

Please take a look at the individual tables here and the event details, calendar and interclub results here. We also have full rules documented and we'll be sharing those for everyone to understand over the next week.

TT season gets going at full pace at Polhill on Thursday 28th - get your aero kit dusted off and ready to rock - more info here. Many new members have been asking about getting involved in Time Trialling - if you have questions - join the forum group here and ask away.

Note that we'll be hosting a beginners TT in May - a great opportunity to try it out without feeling intimidated - stay tuned for more info.

There is more information in the news item on the website.

Race News

GS Avanti had 4 Riders on the start line last Sunday for the SERRL Kenardington #5 road race. Johnnie Owen, Andy South, Rich Wilson & Sam Dorkings all braved the tough rolling course. Despite Johnnie being shot out the back early on, the other 3 put in very commendable performances. Its fantastic to see GS Avanti as regulars riders at these races. See website for write ups & team pictures of the event. Anyone interesting in exploring the idea of racing please contact Lee Staples or Johnnie Owen for more information.

Kit News

The Kalas club shop is open until midnight on Sunday - see details here.   Delivery will be expected end May. We've also got some reviews on club kit in the forum here. Please share your experiences of the kit so that others can make more informed decisions when buying new stuff.

We are placing an order for summer arm-warmers and caps - which should be delivered end-May - we'll be able to sell them to members directly from then. We've also got samples of new llghtweight aero shoe-covers and summer gloves coming for review soon - stay tuned reviews and availability.

As Bill has found recently - Kalas have a 50% off crash replacement policy - get in touch for details if you have an accident and want a replacement.
