Hi reader,

Despite the weather, more than 500 masochistic riders turned up for the Kentish Killer. It was wet and windy, with a storm in the offing, but it could have been a lot worse i.e. it wasn't cold :) As it turned out, full armageddon actually arrived just as we were clearing up the signs. It's fair to say that it was a cracking success, but don't take my word for it, have a look at the feedback from happy (is that the right word?) riders here.

A big thankyou to all those that made it happen on the day and in the prep before. A special thank you to Steve Rogers and Lee Powell who from what I've seen have put in hours of their time in actually making this happen. Chapeau!

I was stationed on the last sector and the overriding memory for me, as we followed the route taking down signs, was passing an elderly male rider walking up Rowdow! It's fair to say he had hit the wall. We waited at the top of Rowdow just as Keith V-C turned up with the broom wagon. He had turned down the broom wagon. Marek decided to walk down the hill to try one last time, but he politely declined any offer of help, so Marek just made sure he had the route on his garmin, which he had (personally I would have been more comfortable if he had had a Wahoo, but that's another story, lol). We than cheered him on from the top of Rowdow... Only Tinkerpot to go!!! Chapeau sir.
