Dear reader

Please note in the below newsletter sent earlier this morning, the open day date should have been May 13th.

Um... not sure what's happened to the weather. I for one regret packing up the electric blanket and switching to the summer duvet last weekend. Central heating back on today.

Despite the weather it looks like there was decent interest in the Saturday ride this morning - they'll be out there as I type and I'm sure having a great time.

Before getting onto other rides this weekend, assorted news and info...

The second time trial of the season took place on Thursday on the demanding Polhill course. Well done to all those that competed and thanks to those that gave up their time to marshall. All club members are encouraged to get involved with time trialling - it's great fun and open to everyone regardless of ability and skinsuit ownership!

The first Cyclopark training session of the year is being run by Lee Staples and Richard Liston next Saturday (5th) at 3pm. These sessions aim to introduce and improve cycling skills useful for club group rides and time trials such as cornering, group riding and leading. These sessions are great for both new riders needing new skills and more experienced ones looking to build on what they have. Please sign up here.

We have a club open day coming up on May 19th. These are always popular and a great way to introduce new members to the club. Please invite people you know and try and attend if you can. Details here.

The Tour de Ford visits Orpington on Sat 26th May with the opportunity to ride a guided route with a Sky support vehicle. Worth checking out here.

All starting at the 'G' (Royal Oak pub, Green St Green)

G2 - 9am start - 100km out to Marden and back. Plenty of people signed up already. Details here.

Nothing for G4 yet but watch the site. G1 rides to start later in the season when the weather and legs are good!

Have fun this weekend, stay safe and dress up warm!
