Biking in a winter wonderland - weekend rides

Or down the A21 initially anyway. The weekend looks ride-friendly for the time of year with fairly settled, dry weather and no ice risk. Good news for those wanting a pre gorging ride. The Saturday ride is being led by Mick Coulton, top man for stepping up and Mick has published a route. See here.

Sunday rides are up and Graham C is coping with Teapot closing on him by doing a G2 shorter ride (than most Sundays) at approx 16mph (post Brexit so no KPH for G). Route here.

Sunday G3 is also up and being led by Alan Else. Have a quick look here.

Tuesday night ride

If you're up for it on Tuesday 26th then Lee Staples is leading a ride, depart 7.30pm, all details are here.

KENTISH KILLER - help needed please

OK SO THE RECENT NEWSLETTER CALL FOR RECRUITS TO RUN THE EVENT WAS OPENED BY 0.8% OF RECIPIENTS. NOT GOOD. The Kentish Killer funds the majority of the clubs activities ranging from social events, turbo training, coaching sessions, subsidised kit and website development, not to mention the considerable charitable donation we make each year to the KSS Air Ambulance Service.
It takes over 100 volunteers to run the event and we rely on the support provided by club members and the KSS Air Ambulance service.
It's fair to say that club members get a fantastic package including your initial subsidised jersey, so if you can spare some time please help.
The newletter with details will be sent again just after this one - contact details etc are on there. Please reply if you can.

Hell of the Ashdown

Gary Peart is looking to see who is up for HOTA. Its an early Sportif on Feb 18th over 107k and with group discounts. Any takers let Gary know here.

First reliability Trial of the year

Richard Bingham is looking for expressions of interest for the West Kent RC RT on Jan 7 2018. A good excuse to get back in the saddle if you need to shed a bit of excess. More details here.

...all that is left to say is, keep riding, stay safe and warm and enjoy any rides while the weather is still being kind to us. Have a fantastic break over Christmas.

All the best Alistair.
