What's that wet stuff falling from the sky? I think it's gone now so read on for details of (very very likely) totally dry rides this weekend, but before that some other things to spin your cranks...

Circuit of Kent. 9th September 2018
All free places are now filled, however don’t despair as a waiting list is up and running. If you are interested and want to know more about the event, take a look and register HERE.

Flanders Mooiste. Belgian Classic Sportive. September 2018
A quick mention so that those who want to know more about this fantastic opportunity can register their interest for this 'later in the year' event with, at least theoretically, calm and ambient weather (management retains the right to withdraw this statement at a later date). An Avanti team needs at least 10 members and there are still places so act fast and sign up HERE.

One for the diary. Revolve 24, September 15.
If you haven’t taken advantage of this brilliant opportunity before, now is the time. A chance to ride the Brands Hatch track as a duo or part of a bigger team. No experience necessary and road bikes are fine for the event. If you are interested register NOW – better still if you can conjure a group of 2,4,6 or 8 then register your team. If in doubt just go for it, I rode this last year as a novice and the whole event is a massive buzz.

New members
As always it’s great to see new members so a big hello to
Tim Johnston and Alex Parry-Jones, see you out on a ride soon.

Rides this weekend

Saturday. 40 miles and paced to suit those assembled. Meet at the G (Royal Oak, Green St Green) for a prompt 8.00am start. It’s looking popular so if you can help out as an extra ride leader in support of Nick Patow, please register your interest and willingness to lead a small group HERE.

Sunday. There are G1, G2 and G3 options this weekend. No excuses.

G1. 100km. Leaving the G at 9.00am sharp, aiming to average 17.5mph. Please register your interest HERE. If you fancy the route but not the pace perhaps, read on…

G2. Same route and start location/time but aiming to average 16.5mph. Fancy it? Register HERE.

G3. 85km to Hartfield. As ever the ride starts at the G and perhaps best to follow THIS LINK and register interest as the start time isn’t clear at the point this goes to press.

Ride safely. Have fun.

Alistair.
