Dear reader

Happy Easter!

I'm writing this from a very sunny south Cornwall but I understand the weather back in Avantiland isn't much chop (and neither is is due to be here in a few hours).

The forecast for the coming days doesn't look all that great either in truth, so perhaps this weekend was destined to be dedicated to honouring our Saviour in the time-honoured tradition of hoovering as much milk chocolate as humanly possible.

Having said that, there does appear to be a weather window on Sunday so there are opportunities - enjoy it if you do get out there.

Time Trial season is here!

The first time trial of 2018 is 9am this Saturday - starting on Chevening Road then up and down Polhill. Full details can be found here. There are a few brave souls signed up already - good luck to all those taking part.

This Weekend's Club Rides

Given the weather it's understandable that enthusiasm for this weekend may be a little and at the time of writing there are only a couple of rides published:

Early Saturday ride - John Caine will be leading a 40m/70km ride through the local lanes kicking off from the G at 8am (details here)

Sunday G3 - Mick Coulton will be leading 60m/95km ride to Lingfield setting off at 9am (details here)

It's likely other rides will be arranged at short notice so keep an eye on the events section of the site.

As ever, if joining club rides do please RSVP on the site and download the route to help out ride leaders. This weekend is probably one for mudguards too if you want to remain on speaking terms with the rest of the peloton!

Whatever you're doing this weekend, have a great time and if you're riding - ride safely!
