G2 paced ride to Rye at Green St Green

May 27, 2013 from 8am to 5pm
This will follow our regular route to Rye, going via Sevenoaks, and Tonbridge, 50 miles out.  We take lunch in Rye, then follow the Military Road out to Appledore, and then back lanes to Yalding for coffee and cakes.  Then up Plaxtol and home.  60 miles return.  Total 110 miles.This ride is open to anyone, and is a good first 100 miler if you are looking to break through the barrier (but you need to have some miles in your legs before trying this !)  Pace will be G2, so approx 15 mph average.…See More

G2 Circular route at Green St Green

This Sunday we are going to ride a circular route that heads out to Well Hill, then along Knats Valley (for a change) then down to the Pilgrims Way,  towards Plaxtol, and onto 4 elms for coffee and cake.  Return loop via Clackets Lane.  Total distance will be about 60 miles.    Steve Riley to lead.  See More

Kentish Killer Konquered

Apologies fior the silly title, but I could not resist !.   This weekend has seen some of the coldest weather seen for quite some time, but its been a deep cold, and frosty, without much Ice.  I had planned to do the Kentish Killer G2 ride some time back, but had been defeated by the weather, so this was an opportunity to try again.

Recumbent in Antwerp



I have to travel to Antwerp about 4 times a year, acting as a taxi driver for my wife. This is normally over a weekend, leaving me with a free Saturday afternoon to do as I please.
