G2 Ride to Redhill Airfield at Green St Green

March 31, 2013 from 9:15am to 2pm
If the weather is kind to us this Easter Sunday, I plan to lead a G2 ride to Redhill Airfield for a coffee/cake break (or should that be a landing !)  Route will depend on conditions, but should be in the region of 50 miles.   We can cut short if we need to.  Steve Riley leading  See More

New Bike shop in Hayes

Some of you may be aware that Bigfoot Bike shop in Hayes has shut down.  A completely new bike shop will be opening soon, with a new owner, Rob Mogford.   The previous owner is taking the Bigfoot name with him, so the new shop will be called Panagua Bikes.   Rob Mogford is looking for advice as to what local cyclists want from a bike shop, and has created a survey which asks for our opinions. likes and dislikes etc.  Anyone who completes a survey will be entered into a draw to win a full bike…See More

Kentish Killer Konquered

Apologies fior the silly title, but I could not resist !.   This weekend has seen some of the coldest weather seen for quite some time, but its been a deep cold, and frosty, without much Ice.  I had planned to do the Kentish Killer G2 ride some time back, but had been defeated by the weather, so this was an opportunity to try again.

I went out on a 45 mile ride into the country on Saturday, so was reasonably confident that today would be similar, with little ice on the backroads.  …

Recumbent in Antwerp

I have to travel to Antwerp about 4 times a year, acting as a taxi driver for my wife. This is normally over a weekend, leaving me with a free Saturday afternoon to do as I please. Searching the Internet for a possible bike hire, I came across a website where I could hire a recumbent. Now, I’m always looking for something new, and different, so this was right up my street. The bike was on hire from a…
