Time Trialing

Lots of GS Avanti riders take part in the inter-club time trial events, usually hosted on Thursday evenings in the summer, with Sydenham Wheelers and SevenOaks Tri.

The scheduled start time is the time of the first rider starts, so if this is your first time, you should arrive at least 15minutes before this time and speak to the marshal to pay your fee and get your number.

There is a £4 fee to enter each time trial, although this is waived £2 if you're a member of GS Avanti on evenings when we are responsible for marshalling.

The recent increase is due to the national organiser (CTT)  fee being doubled for 2012. In our events all GS Avanti riders only pay the CTT fee and not the entry fee.

The results are uploaded a few days after the time trial, and points are tallied throughout the season. Trophies and awards are available for the riders with the most scratch and handicapped points.
