Now most of us have some type of Heart Rate measuring device, here is some explanation into what we've been talking about in the turbo session.
There are two groups that talk about the six zone method and the other five zone method.
Six Zone method;
using my values, also below is a link to calculator that might help.
http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/heart_rate/heart_rate_zo...
Zone one 109 to 116
Zone two 116 to 136
Zone three 136 to 149
Zone four 149 to 161
Zone five 161 to 171
Zone Six 171 to 182
Five Zone method
| Zone Number |
% of Heart Range | Enter Your heart Rate Range for Each Zone |
| 1 | 50%-60% - bpm | 109 to 124 |
| 2 | 60%-70% - bpm | 124 to 139 |
| 3 | 70%-80% - bpm | 139 to 156 |
| 4 | 80%-90% - bpm | 156 to 171 |
| 5 | 90%-100% - bpm | 171 to 186 |
So to sum up the chatter, we keep in zone 3 and 4 using the 6 zone method and zone 3 in the 5 zone method.
I hope this helps.
