Mental race / weather last night. So much rain due to thunder storm on M23 traffic almost stopped then bang brilliant sunshine and needed sunglasses. Arriving with 10 mins to sign on and get ready got half way through the race and yet another thunder storm with so much rain most of the circuit had a little river running round it.  Did a lot of work on and around the front of the pack and managed to find my sprinting legs to finish just outside the points in around 12th place. Glad to finish in one piece after a couple of small crashes due to so much water on the track. It's a good job we love this sport :-)

Out of around 40 or so riders 15 or so were from VC Meudon. It's amazing how much one team can own and dictate a race with that many riders compared to the next team down which had about 5 or 6 riders then single riders like me.
Because of this in the last few laps there were only about 5 of us that wanted to do any work on the front to pull back breakaway riders from VC Meudon etc...
Cracking race though, bring on SURREY Kirdford on Sunday, 70 miles cat 2/3 race OUCH!!!
