MTB Races, Winter 2011

I've booked in as part of a 4 man team for Thetfords Dusk til Dawn on 8/9th Oct

Entries for this have now closed (AFAIK) but I'd thought Id also mention the Thetford Winter seris that I am also interested in "racing" in.

I'm keen to do the 4hr race (over the 2hr which I have done in the past). Is anyone else interested in this series?

Good luck with Dusk til Dawn. I nearly entered last year - so glad I didn't... Soggy

Base training over the winter means I'll not be doing any of the Thetford races, but I might do one or two of the Gorrick Spring Series.

I'm up for these, but will have to check on social engagements to see which ones I can make.

No big climbs at Thetford, but good singletrack. And it's only worth travelling that far for four hours of riding/racing. No point just doing two!

Definitely can't do the first race as I'll be traveling back from Nepal. (Poor me!) Should be able to do the December date, though. I'll get in touch in Nov to see about lifts and the like. More news on availability for the rest of the series nearer the time...

I'm well up for the spring Gorrick races. Their courses are always excellent.

PS I got myself a big light and put it on the front of my singlespeed. Good for a little exploitation of "cheeky" trails when no other users around. I say no other users, but did have to share one woodland path with a badger. More night time exploring to come...
