Cycling Club
Not sure if any of you guys made it out today.
I passed the G at 9am and the car park was empty, so not sure if anyone rocked up afterwards. Well done if you did.
My ride today - was aiming to do the Staplehurst loop but it just got far too cold.
Sevenoaks - Tonbridge - Hadlow - Yalding - Yalding loop - Brookside Garden ctr for two coffees and half an hour to warm up - Seven Mile Lane - Wrotham Hill - Brands Hatch - Eynesford - Home.
62 miles taking in a couple of dodgy lanes past the Yalding tap but otherwise all ok, just really cold.
Glad to have a high-viz gillet on over winter kit and decent lights as needed them today, especially in the mist around Wrotham Hill & Brands Hatch.

Permalink Reply by Simon Clarke on February 12, 2012 at 19:26 Well done Bill. I managed a couple of hours on the mountain bike in the snowy fields. Didn't go too hard, just enjoyed the frozen trails before they all turned to mud again.
Permalink Reply by Steve Gale on February 12, 2012 at 21:18 That's a shame as we must have just missed you as five of us arrived at the Green, looked at the road again and then started to have second thoughts. I headed home to the boredom of the turbo (after mistakenly just popping back into bed for "5 minutes" to warm up again).
Starting to get worried about the lack of miles before Flanders, mountains of sugary waffles can only get you so far.....
