Daz, I've just seen your new stead. Wow!
I would be interested to see where you sourced the parts and prices, and overall weight of this mean machine. How does it ride?

Permalink Reply by secretsquirrell on October 26, 2012 at 19:03 Only one hour ride so far, planning to go for a longer one soon as on annual leave for two weeks, ride is firm but with decent saddle no problem

Permalink Reply by Steve Gale on October 26, 2012 at 19:16 Being sucked into the half price R5 offer at the moment. How much grief is it building up Cervelos with all the BBright issues. Did you use two types of loctite you hear about? What type of BB did you use?
Permalink Reply by secretsquirrell on October 26, 2012 at 19:39 Used a rotor shimano BB right for shimano cranks so no issues.
quite easy to build apart from the internal cable routing, welding wire really helps thread the cable through.

Permalink Reply by Steve Gale on October 28, 2012 at 18:43 Last stupid question for you today - did you cut down the steerer on your fork yourself? Is it tricky and did you use a tool (other than a hacksaw and a bit of luck)?
I was just looking at pricing a Rotor 3D+ crank and 7900 chainrings - comes to an outrageous £443 so won't be going that route....
