Crystal Palace Crits back on

Crystal Palace crits are back... first one of the year last night post some reconstructive surgery of the track down in the woods. Good turnout last night with c.30 riders in the E/1/2 race and c.50 in the 3/4/J. I raced in latter and managed 4th place having started 10th in line going into the hill round the back. Had great momentum over the brow of the hill but then one of the leaders decided to swerve over my side for the final push to the line - right into my path, so I had to slam the anchors on. Booooo. Protested as i went over the line in true Cav style but they didn't change the result. Worth a try. Would be good to see a few Avanti up there next week. Entry fee has been raised to £12, cash payment on the night for the top 3 in each category. My HR averaged 174 for the 50 mins - great workout!
