Anyone else find themselves questioning their sanity after getting up at silly o'clock to get buzzed by lorries on the A21?

Anyway, the course has the potential for some fast times and good TT conditions this morning meant Ben Wimpory went sub-21 minutes and another 5 riders went below 22 minutes.

Seriously quick times. Well done to all.

Thought it was going to be a lot scarier than it was traffic seemed quiet and verge hard sholder was ridable for most. Found the final section before the climb up to turn around odd as for some reason it feels downhill but is infact up! and the speed bump size lump and the bottom of the ski slope on the tri bars at 30+ was a bit scary.

Saw a few people warming up on turbos is this worth doing?

Out of intrest what would be concidered a good time for this course sub 22min?

Thanks

Chris

I did not find the Ski slope too frightening, even at 45mph, however the pot holes prior to the first bridge on the way out took a few victims. Namely Hamish Brown with a puncture  and Simon Lumsdon with a broken spoke to name but two Avanti riders. WHITE VAN MAN BUZZED 2 OF US AT 70 MPH,was he going around the circuit for fiendish laughs ? It felt safer on the hard shoulder, surprising what a line of white paint can do for your confidence. Finally, can you let me know your DOB Chris (Randall) as I need this for handicap results.

Many thanks Dave B

Dave,

All good fun, DOB is 25/07/1977.

Thanks

Chris

Well done all, some excellent times. Sorry I didn't make it, the attraction of riding along the A21 at such an early hour just wasn't strong enough! Bad luck to Hamish, especially after making the effort of turning up at such an early hour, unlike me!! Claire
