Wednesday ride at The green.

December 3, 2014 from 10am to 3:30pm
Every Wednesday a group of us have been meeting at the green but numbers have been dropping so we need new recruits. The rides have a reputation of being a bit quick but during the winter the surviving members want to keep the pace to a G3 sort of pace, ie: 15mph average,We always do the same route so that riders can join us on route with some joining at Plaxtol or East Peckham for a shorter ride.Route is out over Plaxtol and through the lanes to East Peckham. Then on via Claygate to Yalding and…See More

"Not surprised you put daylight between the others considering your current track credentials. Also looks like you will finish 5th in the BC 1st cat league table when I last checked. Well done."

Lee Valley Track League Special Events

I've been enjoying the off-season and a long way from race fitness, but I got coerced out of hibernation by the PMR guys who were looking for an extra rider for the team pursuit. But before that, was the warm-up 20 lap scratch race. Traffic meant that I just about made the start line and I was literally going to have to use the warm-up race as my warm-up. Anyway, I was in the B group and wasn't sure what the standard would be like. Dawdled near the back for a bit, but moved up the outside and…See More

Kentish Killer - Sold out

We had a very successful on-line launch of the Kentish Killer 2015. So successful that we sold out the 800 long route slots in just 18 hours - and already have a full waiting list. We also took a large number of orders for this years' T Shirts together with additional contributions to the Kent Air Ambulance Service.

All our marketing is online, and increasingly focuses on welcoming club groups from round the country - we have 30 riders coming from Norfolk alone). We are very popular with Tri clubs - Serpentine, Greenwich, Ocean Lakes, 7Oaks all have around 20 entrants. London Dynamo once again have the biggest entry - 50!

My thanks to those who helped with the marketing - these things don't just happen! Of course, the focus is now making a huge success of the day. Steve Riley is coordinating the "helper list"

If you have any questions, get in touch with me (Chris Dines)....and more details on the Kentish Killer website. Note that when we launch our new club website we will be incorporating a new KK site within it.
