"Really enjoyable ride, despite coming a cropper on Vigo Hill - I blame the wet, slippery leaves. I had to lean on a wall to clip in to get enough traction to get going again. Thanks to Steve Warner for leading the ride and it was good to meet a few…"

Hi All8 turned out for todays Saturday outing 43 miles ave of 15mph 1000 metres of ascent.ride leader Steve W - Johnnie Owen - Dave Barker - Steve Rodgers - Terry B another valiant effort by Ken and nice to meet Richard who I know has been a club member for sometime but my first encounter and finally last but not least the hansome and eloquent man himself me!!Started out a little chilly and of course the sun came out for the last part of the ride home.we all had a bit of a lung buster session…See More

Sorry if this is all Old News but I've got to that dangerous age.

Frustration has led to another burst of history. Three weeks since I was knock off my bike and broke my hand and the frustration is well set in. I did think I could keep things ticking over on the turbo trainer but a second accident when I tripped and tore a muscle in my calf, stopped this life line to sanity. Not to be deterred by this I have tried to keep some fitness by going for a daily hobbles around the local area but even this is a struggle and I have had to resort to catching a bus…See More

GS Avanti is a friendly, growing cycling club based in Orpington in the South East of England.

The best way to find out more is to join us on Sunday mornings in the car park of the Royal Oak, Green Street Green.Start times vary depending on group. Check the events page for details. Just turn up and introduce yourself to someone who will help you decide the most appropriate group for your style of riding. During the Summer months we run a weekly training session on Tuesday nights focussing on group riding skills. During Autumn and Winter we also run a weekly, indoor turbo session managed by a professional exercise specialist. All club members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

GS Avanti is one of the friendliest, most welcoming clubs in South East England which is why we have members from London, Bromley, Kent, Surrey and Sussex joining us at our regular events.
