Q10/18 Polhill (GS Avanti) - 24-07-2014 Results

The results for the Polhill 10mile TT on 24th July are up. 5 GSAvanti riders rode in the GS Avanti organised event. Well done to Jonathan for another win, and Dan Pink who was just outside the extra points by 12 seconds. Please note: the 10mile TT tonight (Q10/26 Brands Hatch) starts at the earlier time of 19:15.Hopefully see you all there, plus any other new faces that fancy trying their first TT. See More

GS Avanti Social day Lullingstone golf club

On Sunday 21st September we would like to invite all members and their families to spend a day out in the Kent countryside. All club runs will start (9 -9:30am) and finish at the golf club where members and families will enjoy a buffet lunch and exclusive access to the top lounge and patio.

Non-cyclists can take a short walk around Lullingstone park before lunch. There will be a rolling buffet from 12:30pm comprising cold meats, mixed salads, pasta and rice dishes, baguettes and butter, deserts of fresh fruit salad and cakes, tea and coffee. cash bar.

The club will subsidise the event so the cost per member is £5 or £10 per family, (children go free) Advance booking is essential and must be made by the 14th September. Alan Else is the event organiser so cheques should be made payable to GS Avanti and sent or dropped off at Alan's house, 49 Park Avenue, Orpington, Kent. BR6 9EQ

Bill heads off to Paris

Bill Fitzgerald is raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. In fact, he and his 4 strong  "Team Superdrug" (ahem....) are very close to hitting the £7,000 mark. They are doing the London to Paris this weekend. If you have any spare dosh, help Bill breach that £7,000 mark by clicking here.

Jonathan Harris Strikes Again

Jonathan is a true all rounder. With limited experience, and a bike put together 

for £300, he won Gold in the Points Race at the National Masters Track Champs, together with other medal places. READ MORE HERE!

Tuesday training rides

Lee is running a weekly training ride on a Tuesday evening (7.30pm from the Rose and Crown). The rides focus on developing group riding skills, and all are welcome. You can find more details by CLICKING HERE, where you can join the training ride group.

During the Summer months we run a weekly training session on Tuesday nights focussing on group riding skills. During Autumn and Winter we also run a weekly, indoor turbo session managed by a professional exercise specialist. All club members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

GS Avanti is one of the friendliest, most welcoming clubs in South East England which is why we have members from London, Bromley, Kent, Surrey and Sussex joining us at our regular events.
